At the 29th Beijing Essen Welding & Cutting Fair, BOCHU presented its comprehensive manufacturing automation solutions across three key areas: intelligent robotics, shipbuilding automation, and steel structure fabrication automation. The showcased solutions cover the entire production chain – from design and production to cutting, assembly, and welding. By deeply integrating five core technologies – intelligent perception, CAD, CAM, NC, and hardware design – BOCHU continues to drive the manufacturing industry forward, from standalone machine automation to fully connected, intelligent production workflows.
Intelligent Robotics: Moving Beyond Teach-and-Repeat into Smart Machining
The robotics exhibition area drew significant attention, with the standout being the "Ship Small-Assembly Cantilever Twin-Robot Workcell," which demonstrated the entire small-assembly processing workflow, capable of handling complex welding scenarios such as R-hole double-sided double-arc welding and two-torch corner welding. In addition, the medium-assembly mobile welding robot, the integrated tack-and-weld robot workcell, the FB-H series intelligent bevel cutting system, and the new-generation H5 intelligent welding software platform all attracted considerable visitor interest.
BOCHU's intelligent robotic systems have long moved beyond the "teaching free" phase. Through comprehensive development and optimization of underlying algorithms, intelligent perception, and motion control, the systems now significantly reduce manual intervention – allowing a single operator to manage multiple machines simultaneously – while continuously lowering the skill barrier so that new operators can become proficient within half a day. This translates directly into cost reduction and efficiency gains for factories.
Also on display were case study photos and videos from multiple industries, including shipbuilding, steel structures, machinery, power equipment, and special vehicles. BOCHU's smart welding solutions are now compatible with over 30 robot brands, cover more than 50 welding scenarios, and serve more than 3,000 users.

The shipbuilding automation zone showcased a complete digital workflow for hull block fabrication. This solution connects key processes – production line simulation, intelligent nesting, marking and inkjet coding, laser cutting, and intelligent welding – into a unified data flow, enabling digital collaboration from design to production. By integrating each production stage, the solution helps shipyards optimize production planning, improve material utilization, and boost overall manufacturing efficiency.
Complementing the display were key products such as intelligent cutting heads and bevel cutting systems, further demonstrating BOCHU's comprehensive technological capabilities in shipbuilding automation.
Steel Structure Fabrication Automation: Achieving "One-Model" Digital Manufacturing
For the steel structure fabrication industry, BOCHU presented a complete automation solution built around the "One-Model" concept. Starting from detailed design drawings, the system automatically generates processing data and carries it through production management, cutting, assembly, and welding – achieving data-driven coordination across the entire manufacturing process, reducing manual involvement, and substantially improving productivity.
