TubesT - How to Export nc1 Format Parts in Tekla

Ⅰ. Introduction

 

TubesT and Tekla are integrated through the CypWizard Plugin. Using the plugin, you can export t2t, x2t, and ifc format files from Tekla and use TubesT for recognition and nesting. For instructions, see 《CypWizard Plugin Installation & Operation Guide》.

Regarding model integration, we recommend the above methods and formats. If you have other requirements, such as using nc1 files (this format is not supported by the plugin), please refer to the steps in this article.

Ⅱ. Usage

 

1. Permissions

 

Starting from version 7.1.57.15, support for identifying Tekla-exported L/C/H steel NC1 files is available;  

Starting from version 7.1.61.7 (2025V1.7), support for identifying Tekla-exported square tube NC1 files is available, and support for generating stamp marks during the import of all parts is provided.

3. Steps and parameters in detail

 

(1) Select single or multiple parts in the model.

 

 

(2) Click [Menu] - [Output] - [NC File].

 

(3) Check the [NC File Settings] to be effective and click [Edit]. Set the file storage location and section type.

 

(4) Set the hole and cut settings:

 

(5) Set the steel mark mark: Naming is related to the steel mark: check the box to generate the steel mark in order to export the component + part name. 

 

(6) contour marking: check here, there will be welding marking position.

 

(7) header settings: select the default value can be, please do not change.

(8) Import parts

① Select Generate Marking Stamp (after TubesT_25V1.7):

For the nc1 file exported from Tekla, under the premise of setting the stamp mark when exporting the NC file, it supports generating the marking stamp for the welded parts when importing into TubesT.

In [User settings] → [Usage Habits] → [Marking NC1 Stamping Mark] (default unchecked, need to be configured before importing the part)

 

② Importing the part: detailed description of the parameters can be found in the 【Import from File.

 

 

③ nc1 parts support secondary editing, click the small pencil, you can enter the 【Draw Parts interface.

 

 

III. Notes

 

1. Part size related

 

Tekla within the rectangular tube without R corner, imported into the nc1 file, TubesT will use the thickness of the part as the R corner size.

The R corner will not exceed half of the length/width of the rectangular tube.

 

2. (8) - ① mentioned in the marking stencils related to

 

The default marking font is ISO.txt monoline.

The stamped text of an angle part marked beyond the cross-section will be compressed into a line.

The marking outline and the steel mark will not be generated at the inner surface of the angle.

After entering [Draw Part], the marking stamp will disappear.

In Tekla, there may be a marking without a stencil, and TubesT cannot generate a stencil mark out of thin air.

 

 

TubesT - How to Export nc1 Format Parts in Tekla 798view
