When machining a part, you may encounter a toolpath where the required cutting direction differs from the direction originally identified by the software. In this case, you can use the Fine Tune AB Axes Vector function to adjust the A-axis or B-axis vector components of the toolpath.
For example, for outer corner chamfering on angle steel or channel steel parts, the B-axis component of the toolpath needs to be adjusted. If the angle of an external bevel is incorrect, the A-axis component needs to be adjusted.
(1)The A-axis is used for the bevel laser cutting head. The bevel cutting head can tilt in a certain direction by a specified angle, which is referred to as the A-axis.
(2)The B-axis
(1) Fine Tune AB Axes Vector is supported in TubesT 7.1.45 and later.
(2) Fine Tune AB Axes Vector requires TubePro 7.1.21.170.0 or later. Otherwise, this function cannot be used.
(3) Before using this function, click the gear icon in the upper-left corner of the software. In User Settings → Machine Config, select A axis bevel cutter. For details, see How to enable beveling.
(1)A-axis and B-axis superposition
The set angle is added to the originally identified angle. Superposition angle = Initial angle + Fine-tuning angle
For example, if the original bevel angle is 45°, enter 10° the first time. The resulting angle is 45° + 10° = 55°. If you then enter 5°, the resulting angle is 45° + 5° = 50°, not 55° + 5° = 60°. The figure below shows the positive and negative directions for AB-axis superposition.
(2)Inner Contour (formerly Auto Adjust Path)
When this parameter is unchecked, the toolpath is generated based on the outer contour. As a result, the bevel extends beyond the tube end, leaving an additional section compared with the original drawing.
When this parameter is checked, the toolpath is calculated based on the inner contour and vector and automatically adjusted to the appropriate position. This keeps the inner dimensions of the drawing unchanged while making the outer dimensions slightly shorter than those in the original drawing.
When Current View is selected, you can apply the settings to the selected toolpaths or to all toolpaths in the current part displayed in the software interface.
When Part list is selected, you can choose specific parts or all parts from the part list on the left side of the software.
To meet different machining requirements, you can filter the target toolpaths by the following criteria:
These filter conditions can be used individually or in combination, allowing the settings to take effect on all toolpaths simultaneously.
Select Cancel Bevel.
