Differences Between Identify Part, Set as Part, and Force to Set as Part

Background

During importing parts, correct parts will directly be identified as parts, while problematic parts need to be modified first, then manually set as part or force to set as part.

 

Usage

1. Correct parts are automatically recognized as parts during import. For some previously wrong parts, after modifications, you can also use [Identify Parts] to identify them as importable parts:

 

2. Drawings fail to identify can only be manually set as part. The drawing issues are divided into the following two categories:

 

3. For Drawings identified as warning, you can click [Set as Part] after selecting the drawing:

 

For example,  for a drawing identified as "Inner Contour Open", if it's for sure that all four lines inside the rectangle need to be cut, you can manually set it as part after selection:

 

 

4.For drawings identified as error, you can click [Force to Set as Part] after selecting the drawing:

 

For example, for a drawing identified as "Outer Contour Open", you can manually force to set it as part after selection:

 

 

Note

Generally, it is recommended that users follow the normal process to modify the drawings correctly, then use [Identify Part]  to identify parts and import them.
