CypNest - The "Join Nearest Lines" Function in the Drawing Processing Page

Do you know?

When importing drawing files, a single part contour may have multiple starting points (marked by white dots). If left unprocessed, the cutting machine may pierce the plate at each of these points. Joining the nearest lines can prevent this issue.

Operation Steps

Enter into the Drawing Processing page.

Select the relevant line segments either by drawing a selection box or clicking on them individually with Shift pressed.

Click the small triangle dropdown button under the Optimize Drawing, and click the Join Nearest Lines function.

Keep the default parameters and click OK.

The nearest line segments will be merged into a single contour, which will then have only one starting point.
