When performing Auto Nest, what should we do if we want parts to share their long edges while keeping their short edges unshared?
This can be achieved by setting the Minimum Co-Edge Length.
Minimum Co-Edge Length: An edge of a part will only be considered for co-edge nest when its length exceeds the preset value.
Therefore, we can set the Minimum Co-Edge Length to a value greater than the length of the short edges but smaller than that of the long edges. This way, Auto Nest will only enable co-edge nest for the long edges of the parts.
Note: The Minimum Co-Edge Length setting will only take effect if the Check Part Gap option is checked.
