CypNest - How to Resolve Unavailable Co-Edge Line Caused by Part Drawing Errors

Have you encountered the following issue during the nesting process?

For a rectangular part, one of its edges is not perfectly horizontal or vertical but slightly tilted due to drawing errors. This renders co-edge nest unavailable, which not only reduces cutting efficiency but also leads to repeated cutting in narrow gaps, compromising the overall cutting quality.

If the part precision requirement is not stringent, you can apply Co-edged Toolpath Precision to achieve fuzzy co-edge nesting for the part.

1.Navigate to [Settings] - [Post-Processing] - [Co-Edge Precision Process].

2.Check  [Co-edged Toolpath Precision] and set the value.

Narrow gaps within the set range can be processed as co-edged line and will be cut only once. The optional value range is 0–2 mm.

For example, if the width of the narrow gap is around 0.007 mm, setting the precision value to 0.01 mm will enable co-edge nesting for this gap.

3.Click Advanced Sort to view the results of co-edged toolpath precision.
