Adjust Current Result

Function Explanation

When the nesting result cannot accommodate more parts and the remnant plate is too small to be useful, you can set Center All Parts to enhance skeleton strength and facilitate skeleton cutting;

Center Inner Parts, so there is no need for manual adjustments. As shown in the figure below, the two inner nested parts are automatically centered very well;

If the cut seam is wide after cutting, it is troublesome to rearrange part gap by re-importing parts, so you can check Adjust Gap, conveniently reduce part gap to suitable one, making the already arranged drawings more compact.

Operating Methods and Precautions

1. Click "Adjust Current Result" in the toolbar or "Adjust Selected Results" or "Adjust all Results" in the dropdown menu.

2. A parameter window pops up, allowing you to choose whether to Center All Parts, Center Inner Parts or Adjust Gap (Beta), and then click Adjust Result.

Note: At this time, the parts position will be fine-tuned based on the existing nesting results. And for any selected result, even parts are not moved, the result's skeleton and remnant will be automatically removed in advance.

(1) Center all parts

When a certain nesting result meets the following conditions, the centering of this result will take effect:

  • The plate is rectangular.
  • Both the X and Y direction distance are smaller than "max remnant size allowed for centering"

  • The adjusted positions of the parts are all legal.

If all conditions are met, this function can move all parts on the result the same distance, making the center of the part enclosure coincides with the center of the plate (without considering margin);

Max remnant size allowed for centering, effective for Center All Parts, default 100mm;

Note: Remnant size Δx = Plate x length - slab x length, Δy = Plate y length - slab y length.

(2) Center Inner Parts

When a certain group of nested parts meets the following conditions, Center Inner Parts will take effect:

  • The position of inner part is legal after centering.

  • The part itself is not a nested part or a forcibly set part.

  • There is no co-edge between the inner part and the outer part. (between inner parts themselves or outer parts themselves cound exist co-edge relationship).

If all conditions are met, this function will move the inner parts to the center of the outer part's inner hole.

(3) Adjust Gap (Beta)

Part Gap by default is the gap you set and can be modified to the desired value; The max distance refers to the maximum value of the moving distance.

Note: It is recommended to set the target part gap smaller than the original one; this function is suitable to make the nested results compact.
