BOCHU Launches FB-H Intelligent Bevel Cutting System – An Efficient Solution for Complex Bevels
In the steel structure industry, additional beveling on medium-to-heavy plate workpieces often involves many non-standard, irregularly shaped parts that are difficult to cut quickly using traditional layout methods or vision-guided robots. Manual cutting, on the other hand, relies heavily on operator experience, involves complex tuning, and suffers from low efficiency. BOCHU has officially introduced the FB-H intelligent robotic flame cutting system(bevel). Powered by BOCHU’s intelligent software, the system can automatically perform bevel cutting on workpieces composed of random combinations of straight lines and arcs.
Designed for Complex Beveling Operations
The FB-H system is primarily used for flame bevel cutting of irregular medium-to-heavy plate parts. It handles straight lines, arcs, and various combined-profile beveling tasks, making it widely applicable in construction steel structures and related industries. The entire processing workflow requires only three steps:
1. Import contour drawing – Import DXF, DWG, SLP, or other drawing files.
2. Set bevel parameters – Quickly configure multiple bevel types, including V-groove, Y-groove, X-groove, and K-groove, with one-click selection from a built-in process library.
3. Start automatic cutting – The camera automatically locates the part position and contour, then ignites and cuts automatically.
Compared to traditional robot teaching methods, this approach significantly reduces equipment setup time and boosts production efficiency.
Intelligent Software Simplifies Robot Beveling
FB-H transforms complex robot programming into a visual operation. The system automatically generates cutting paths, matches processes, and supports automatic positioning, auto-ignition, and cutting process control – enabling operators to complete tasks quickly without prior robot programming experience. The system also supports random placement of multiple workpieces and cyclic processing, making it ideal for non-standard parts, small batches, and flexible manufacturing scenarios. The intelligent software design not only lowers training costs but also turns the robot into a truly reproducible production asset.
Higher Root-Face Precision and More Stable Processing Quality
Beyond ease of use, FB-H places equal emphasis on processing quality. The system achieves a root-face precision of ±1 mm, delivering consistent cutting quality across batch processing and effectively reducing rework rates. With its stable control capability, FB-H can reliably complete complex irregular bevel cutting to meet high-quality manufacturing demands. Additionally, FB-H is compatible with a variety of robot brands, allowing users to select the robot body that best fits their specific needs and budget for maximum cost-effectiveness.
Looking ahead, BOCHU will continue to deepen its development of intelligent robotic systems, helping manufacturers improve production efficiency, processing quality, and automation levels – and driving high-efficiency, stable smart production across entire production lines.
