Part information on drawings can be automatically recognized by configuring recognition rules. The Rule-Based Recognition of Part Information function enables recognizing the following types of part information.
1.Navigate to Settings → General → Identify Text and set Recognition Rules for part information.
2.Click Edit or Settings to configure recognition rules for basic part information based on the part information shown on the drawing. Click Clear all to clear previously set rules and reconfigure them.
Using the example in the figure above, the rules are set as follows:
Note:The text between Prefix and Suffix is the target information. Select Text format according to the content. It is recommended to copy the information from the drawing and paste it into the Text box to preview the recognition effect, as shown below:
3.Set Identify text mode as Strict or Rule-based mode.
4.Returning to the Job interface, click Add Parts to import the drawing, and then enter the Drawing Processing interface.
5.Press Ctrl + A to select all parts, and then click Identify Part Information from Text to automatically recognize the information.
Note: If a material that is not in the existing material library is identified, a pop-up will appear. Check Add Material to add the material to the material library.
6.Click a part in the parts list to locate it in the current drawing and verify the part information.
7.Select parts to set the gas parameters.
8.Click OK in the top-right corner to upload the parts to CloudNest. If any part information is not fully recognized, default attributes will be used.
9.The parts are successfully uploaded.
CypNest supports configuring recognition rules for custom part properties other than material, thickness, quantity, and part name.
For example, fields such as edge name and wall thickness are commonly used in the door industry.
Follow the same steps as described above to set recognition rules for custom properties. Refer to the figure below for rule configuration:
After importing parts, make sure to add the customized list fields so the parts can be seen in the list. Click here to view the detailed steps.
