CloudNest - Identify Part Information from Text

Function Description

Batch identify part information (part name, material, thickness, gas, and other custom details.) from drawings. Three identification modes are available: Standard, Rule-based Mode, and Strict, each corresponding to different presentation styles of part information on drawings. All modes enable one-click identification of part details.

 

Different Identification Methods for Different Applicable Scenarios 

1.For drawings with colloquial part information (as shown below), it is recommended to use Intelligent Recognition of Parts Information. Click here to view the operation steps.

 

2.For drawings with standardized part information (as shown below), it is recommended to use Rule-Based Recognition of Part Information. Click here to view the operation steps.

 

 

Parameter Settings

Navigate to SettingsGeneralIdentify Text.

 

Set part name:

    • Internal text information as the part name: Use information inside the part as the part name.
    • External text information as the part name: Use information near the part as the part name.
    • Use the parsed result as the part name: Use information extracted according to the recognition rules as the part name.

After identify part information from text, the gas is auto calculated: If automatic process settings for the current material, thickness, and gas have been configured, the gas information will be automatically inferred and set after extracting part details.

Always show material mapping popups: When enabled, the material mapping popup will appear after each text recognition. If disabled, the popup will not appear for materials already existing in the material library, but will still appear for new materials not found in the library.

Auto group of part text: Enable when multiple groups of parts on the drawing correspond to the same part information (as shown below).

    • Smart group (recommended): Automatically identifies grouping relationships between parts and text (recommended to enable).
    • Params group: Customize grouping based on spacing constraints between parts and text.

Text recognition layer: Choose layers based on where text is located on the drawing.

Identify text mode:

    • Standard: Does not use identification rules; information is identified through intelligent algorithms.
    • Rule-based Mode: Prioritizes identification rules; first uses rules to identify information, and then applies intelligent recognition.
    • Strict: Uses identification rules only; information is identified solely based on configured rules.
